Record, rewind, remember of the moments we are together; 2:06 AM
Posted by Vivian. How are y'all doing!
I'm the first to post? !
Isn't it just so intimidating to know that examinations are
just around the corner?
Maybe you guys might not feel so, but i feel so stressed up!
With homework piling up and tight schedules, it's bound to make anyone go crazy!
Come on, agree with me, people!
I don't even have enough sleep at times!
Sounds exaggerated, but true, you know!
I've done some research lately, and found some tips on how to relieve stress.
So
cliche, but it does help.
-
First up!
1. Make an efficient time table, something you would follow.
Don't make one and end up throwing it aside! (BAD IDEA)
Don't do it for the sake of it and because "my teacher advised me to do it".
Time-tables are meant for managing time, which i think all of us need.
We all know it's a bit difficult to "sacriface" your play time for homeworks, CCAs and chores, but it'd pay off!
For example, if you do your homework regularly, you are bound not to get scolded, and maybe, even get praised! Although the thought of being praise is "lame", its a rather good feeling, don't you think?
2. EXERCISING!
We've heard it, and we know that exercising does help relieve stress, but why?
Well, for one thing, people who exercise aren't as tense, and are calm.
When you exercise, your body releases many chemicals, one of such are "endorphins".
Sounds familiar? Well, to sum up, endorphins are just a chemical substance released from the body to make a person
happy! It can improve your mood, and makes you feel better about yourself.
Like, if you ran continuously for 15 minutes, you'd feel like you achieved something, right?
The feeling of self-worth contributes to stress relief! And, it makes you eat better.
When you exercise, you tend to get hungry after.
Thats when you feel like wanting to eat more healthy food.
By eating healthy, it also improves health problems, like asthma.
Eating healthy can clear up your complexion too! It's especially important to growing teens like us, don't you agree?
For most of us teens, we tend to care more about our physically appearance, and one good thing about eating healthy, it makes you look fresh and... well, it just makes you look better!
Some recommanded exercises are:
1.
Aerobics. For people who are more physically flexible. Don't force yourself!
2.
The well known- Yoga. It's an exercise of the mind, body and soul. It takes awhile to get the hang of it, so be paitent!
3.
Stretching, running, etc. Some of us only exercise when it's PE lesson at school.
But, that isn't enough, is it? Even 5 minutes of exercising is better than not doing anything at all, and it won't take up alot of your time.
Some other suggestions:
(When you're alone)
- Do some stretching while watching tv.
- Rope skipping.
-Dancing to music.
(With some friends)
-Badminton.
-Swimming.
-"Catching" (Although you don't think it's any help, at least your running!)
-Just a walk to get some fresh air.
OR:
Help out your mom in the kitchen.
Health experts say it's better to do some exercises outdoors.
Oh yes, one last, good, thing about exercising: it helps you shed off weight!
Especially when you like to eat alot of fast food and such.
3. LISTENING TO MUSIC.
I'm sure all of us loves music!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCZxSCYshnI&feature=related4. DON'T PROCRASTINATE.
Don't wait till the eleventh hour.
Don't do your homework only when its due the next day/ ON THE DUE DATE.
Don't say you'll do it and end up forgetting all about it. Actions speak louder than words.
Don't making procrastinating a habit. At that rate, you'd never get ANYTHING done!
Don't say it's because you're "busy". Remember the time table?
-You might not like what you
should do, but if you do it anyway, there would be lesser tasks to accomplish and by then, you'd find theres not enough things to do because you've already done everything!
-Break down the stuff to do.
Do a little by a little. Never mulit-task!
-Make reminders.
If you're a forgetful person, jot down the things you want to accomplish on sticky notes, pieces of paper or notebooks.
And do place the notes on places you often go to(eg. toilet door, fridge door). Somewhere where the notes are readily seen.
Alright, hope that helped.
Good luck and don't stress it.
LOL.
